CBS Records Country's Brightest Stars poster: vintage LP/Album flat
This is a vintage, approximately 12 1/2" X 12 1/2" promotional item known as an LP or Album Flat. Flats are thin pieces of cardstock that have traditionally been sent to record stores to serve as posters to promote an upcoming LP/CD by an artist. This flat is double-sided and is unique in that instead of only advertising one artist's album, it is advertising the release of four albums by artists with CBS Records Inc. The flat boldly reads "The Bright Stuff" and "Country's Brightest Stars" and is advertising the 1988 Rodney Crowell album Diamonds & Dirt, the 1989 Ricky Skaggs album Kentucky Thunder, the 1989 Mary Chapin Carpenter album State of the Heart, and the 1989 Merle Haggard album 5:01 Blues. The flat remains in NEAR MINT condition with very slight corner wear.
