Native Son movie poster (1986) [Matt Dillon, Oprah Winfrey] 27x41
This is an original, approximately 27" X 41" video movie poster for the 1986 film Native Son, which is based upon the 1940 Richard Wright novel. The poster was folded into eighths by the video store that received it. A common practice at the time for studios, movie theatres and video stores was to fold posters for storage purposes. The poster also appears to have been folded about 3 1/2" up from the bottom, perhaps to fit into a smaller marquee, has staple holes in its surface, and some edge wear as well. Other than the fold creases, the poster remains in GOOD condition. The poster features Matt Dillon, Elizabeth McGovern, Oprah Winfrey, Carroll Baker, Geraldine Page, and John Karlen. The poster will be shipped folded and flat.
