The Adventures of Tom Sawyer movie poster (1958 re-release) 27x41

This is an original, 27" X 41" folded Style B one-sheet movie poster for the 1938 Norman Taurog film entitled The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. This poster for the Mark Twain classic was issued to American movie theatres upon the film's 1958 U.S. re-release and is numbered R58-198. The poster is folded into eighths, which was standard procedure for theatrical one-sheets prior to the mid to late 1980s. The poster remains in POOR to FAIR condition with significant damage. The poster has edge damage, tack hole damage, tearing in its folds that has been mended to some extent with acid-free archival tape, and yellowing from age. The poster also has an envelope stuck to its backside from a Dallas poster service that may have distributed this poster and other theatrical titles.
