The Beatles poster: 1962-1966 vintage album flat (1984)

This is a vintage, approximately 12 1/4" X 12 1/4" promotional item known as an LP or Album Flat. Flats are thin pieces of cardstock that have traditionally been sent to record stores to serve as posters that promote an upcoming LP/CD by an artist. This flat is double-sided and is advertising the 1984 Capitol Records re-release of the classic 1973 Beatles compilation album entitled 1962-1966 (a.k.a. "The Red Album.") As the backside of the flat indicates, Capitol Records reissued all of the Beatles albums in 1984 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Beatles first hitting it big in the United States. The flat remains in VERY GOOD condition with wear to its edge and corners.
