Clothesline-style album flats were printed by record companies and sent to record stores in the 1970s to serve as posters to promote upcoming albums by music artists. Clothesline album flats are printed on one side of a thin paper stock, similar to poster paper. Clothesline flats measure 12" X 24", but fold in the middle so that they can be folded and hung over a clothesline or wire for a 12" X 12" double-sided display. This clothesline album flat is advertising the 1976 greatest hits album by The Band entitled The Best of the Band. This clothesline flat remains in GOOD condition with some visible bending in its surface.
