This is an original, 27'' X 41'' folded one-sheet movie poster for the classic 1966 Edward Dmytryk western film entitled Alvarez Kelly. This poster was issued to American movie theatres upon the film's 1966 U.S. release and is numbered 66/225. The poster was originally folded into eighths, which was standard procedure for theatrical one-sheets prior to the mid to late 1980s. The poster remains in FAIR to GOOD condition with tack hole damage in its surface, a yellowish stain near its bottom edge from a piece of scotch tape that has now been removed, and some creasing including an extra horizontal fold that is an inch below the top edge, most likely folded to fit into a smaller marquee. The poster also has areas of separation in its studio folds, as well as other small tears in its edges, all of which have been mended on the poster's backside using acid-free archival tape to prevent further tearing. The poster features illustrations of the film's stars; William Holden, Richard Widmark, Janice Rule, and Victoria Shaw.
